TMI Tuesday #27

Welcome to this week's TMI. If you want to know what TMI is all about, or meet the other players then just click HERE.
I have updated my list of favourite blogs in the sidebar. I hope I haven't forgotten anyone, but if I have please let me know, or if you want to be listed there then drop me a line or leave a comment.

1. How many credit cards do you own? Are they paid off?
Between Mrs A. and myself, we only have 1 credit card. It isn't paid off, but there isn't a huge amount on it either. Mostly we use debit cards and only use the credit card in an emergency.

2. Can you be in love with someone you don't trust?
I think you can be in love with anyone, but not necessarily trust them. Trust, along with other attributes like respect and compassion become important if you want to form a relationship with a person. Love is separate from these things and you can love someone with out trusting them, just as you can love someone without having a relationship with them.

3. Should prostitution be legal?
Absolutely. Prostitution will always exist, so it might as well be legitimate so it can be better policed. If it were legal then there could be mandatory health checks for sex workers, and measures could be taken to stamp out sexual slavery and underage practices. While it is illegal it is difficult to control and criminal elements are naturally attracted to it.

4. On a scale of 1-10, how good of a lover do you think you are? (1 is lowest, 10 is highest)
Without sounding big headed, I think I am a fairly good lover. I would rate myself an 8. I have left myself a little room for improvement as I am sure there are things I could do better. I think it also depends on the partner. It is easier to be a good lover when you are with someone who knows what they are doing as well.

5. What are three mistakes someone could make on the first date with you that would automatically make you turn down a second date with them?
*Poor personal hygiene, as in bad breath or body odour.
*Smoking. Maybe it is because I am an ex smoker, but I find this a real turn off.
*Continual talking on their mobile phone. I mean, who is more important, me or whoever is on the other end? It is OUR date after all.

Bonus (as in optional): Tell us about your worst date ever.
My worst date of recent times was agreeing to meet a lady for coffee after we had been emailing for some time. I arrived at the designated coffee shop, and couldn't see anyone who looked like the person I had been talking to so I grabbed a quiet table and waited. I checked the coffee shop several times in case I had missed her, and I had no calls or messages on my phone. After half an hour I called her and got no reply. I waited another half hour before deciding to leave. When I finally did get hold of her, a day or so later, she told me that something had come up and she wasn't able to make it. Was it too much to expect a call or text message. Anyway, our contact dwindled off after that so I can only assume that she wasn't interested. Her loss.

HNT #6 - The 3 foot HNT.

Well, it's Thursday again and that can mean only one thing, HNT time!! I am only new at this whole HNT thing but it has been going on for 3 years now and this is the third anniversary. To celebrate this event we were asked to post a picture featuring 'three' in it somehow. Well I racked my brain and tried to come up with some way to get 3 into a picture of myself. Apart from fingers and toes, there isn't anything else that I have 3 of that I could easily photograph. I thought of drawing a large '3' on my body somewhere, but then worried that it might not come off very easily and I would be left to explain it to Mrs A., who just wouldn't get it. Finally I came up with the idea of a picture of half of me. I stand just over 6 feet tall, so half of that would give you 3 feet, a nice fit for the three theme. Unfortunately it didn't work quite as I had planned as I had wanted the tape measure that I am holding to be visible so you could see the 3 foot mark. It wasn't to be so you will just have to take my word for it that this picture shows my lower half exactly, all 3 feet of it.

If you want to know what HNT is all about then go check out Os. This week his blog has a history of HNT and some of the finer moments. It is great for the new guys like myself to get an appreciation of those who have gone before us, and those who are still carrying on the tradition. I would be honoured to be even half as good as some of them, and I am humbled to be in their company.

HAPPY 3rd ANNIVERSARY HNT.

Wednesday Weirdness #3

Wednesday Weirdness once again and this week it takes the form of filling in the blank spaces in the following sentences. Sounds like a bit of fun. If you want to join in then click HERE to see what it is all about, and who else has played this week. My answers are in italics.

1.) I get angriest at work when a co-worker doesn't do their share of the work. Sometimes, that makes me just want to slap them in the face and tell them how lazy they are. Instead, I tend to just mind my own business and hope that the boss notices who is carrying who.

2.) (Hypothetical scenario.) I was walking through the supermarket one day and saw a bottle of chocolate ice cream topping. I realized that instead of eating it, a better use for it would be to coat certain parts of a lady's anatomy and then lick it off.

3.) Three things that relax me more than anything are the afterglow of sex , a warm bath and a soft, comfortable bed.

4.) My favorite two things to do with my hands are undressing my lover and exploring my lover's body. My two least favorite things to do with my hands are washing dishes and cleaning out gutters .

5.) I always dreamed about owning a tropical island or a mansion with ocean views but never have had the money to pay for either of them.

6.) If I were starving and needed to buy something to eat, I would sell my computer, my football membership (not that it is probably worth much at the present moment) and anything else of value at a Pawn Shop to get cash to buy food.

TMI Tuesday #26

Here is TMI for this week. Only brief answers this week as I am really stretched for time, but I do enjoy playing. If you would like to play, meet the other players, or just see what this is all about, then click HERE.

1. Is there a TV show you HAVE to watch? If so, what is it?

Nothing that really springs to mind. Over the past month or so I have been watching a programme called 'Underbelly' which is a dramatization of actual events in Melbourne's gangland war. I really enjoyed watching it, but it has finished now. Any of the 'Law & Order' series are good but I wouldn't say I HAVE to watch them.

2. What is you favorite drink if you are going to drink more than one?
Non-alcoholic is coffee, hands down. Alcoholic drink would be Scotch whiskey & dry ginger, but I'm not a big drinker these days.

3. How long do you carry guilt around with you?
I don't carry guilt around with me anymore. I used to but it doesn't achieve anything and only wears you down. Don't feel guilty about anything that you have done, it is all part of who you are.

4. Where is or would be your number one romantic get away spot?
I have been to so many beautiful and romantic places that it would be hard to pick just one. However, anyplace can be a romantic location if you are with that special someone who is the one for you. The get away spot is irrelevant, it is the people that provide the chemistry.

5. Have you ever seen a counselor?
I don't think they were a counselor as such, but I have sought professional guidance from those trained to give it. Is that a cryptic enough answer??

Bonus (as in optional): Last summer the Archives of Sexual Behavior the 237 reasons people have sex and the Top 50 Reasons Men and Women Have Sex. What are your top 5 reasons?
Do we really need 5 reasons to have sex? If we do, then here are 5 reasons why I have sex.
1. Because I am in love (lust) with the other person.
2. To provide pleasure for myself and/or the other person.
3. Because I am horny and need some release.
4. Because the opportunity presents itself.
5. Because I can.

HNT #5 - Waiting for ...?

Dear readers, I am asking for your suggestions to a problem I face. I have to decide between a visit to Brazil or a visit to Peru. What a choice, hey? I can only do one or the other, but not both. Cost wise there is not much in it, so it basically comes down to preference. I would love to go to both places so I am looking for suggestions or advice if anyone has experienced either of these places. Brazil will take in visits to Rio with all it's associated attractions (Copacabana, Sugarloaf Mountain with Christ the Redeemer statue) and the Iguazu Falls, while Peru has the Andes Mountains and Machu Picchu (the ancient Incan city). Decisions, decisions. I would welcome your thoughts and views.

Here is my HNT contribution for this week. This is just a quick shot of me laying on the bed. What am I waiting for, well you tell me. I am sure you can come up with some interesting answers. If you want to check out the other HNT contributors, then head on over to Os and follow the links.

I have just realized that this is my 50th post. When I first started I doubted that I would ever post 5 times, and that no-one would ever see what I had written. Here we are, 49 posts later and I am posting Half Nekkid pictures of myself. What has the world come too??

HAPPY HNT EVRYONE!!

Wednesday Weirdness #2

Here is my second week of Wednesday Weirdness. If you want to know what Wednesday Weirdness is all about, then click HERE to pay the girls a visit and join us in having a little fun.

1. You get to go back in time to any year/era you want to go to. Present day you has to adapt to the lifestyle of whatever era you chose and live back in that time for one year. What era are you going back to and why?

On initial thoughts, I wouldn't go back too far. Just back to the late 60's and early 70's. Even though I was actually alive then, I wasn't old enough to enjoy it or participate in the goings on. I would love to have been a part of the 'free love' movement, and to have been able to experience events like Woodstock, or to have seen The Beatles or Led Zeppelin performing at their peak. So much good music came from that I era that I would have loved to have 'been there'.

2. What is your opinion on the butterfly effect theory? (click the link if you aren't familiar with it =D)
I really do think that all events are related in some minute way, and that everything happens for a reason. The universe is just one big cause and effect model, and seemingly insignificant actions can have huge impacts in ways that were never considered.

3. Do you hand wash your dishes or use a dishwasher?
I use a dishwasher where possible, but there are always a few items that have to be hand washed. The seal on our dishwasher split a few months back and it was a real shock to have to hand wash everything for the week it took to get repaired. Dishwashers really are a time saving device. Who wants to spend time standing at a sink with their hands in hot water??

4. If you had to give up sex or the internet and could never do the one you gave up ever again; which would you give up?
It would have to be the internet. It would be hard at first but I am sure I would get used to it. I would just have to find other ways to occupy my free time, like read more books or something. I just can't imagine never having sex again.

TMI Tuesday #25

Last week I installed a little tracker type widget that records where my visitors are viewing from. I am finding it fascinating to see how many countries have popped on there in such a short period of time. I would love to know where you come from so why not leave me a comment and let me know.
Here is this week's TMI. If you wish to find out what TMI is all about, then just click HERE and feel free to join in. It's a lot of fun.

1. How many cell phones have you had? How long have you had your current cell phone number?

I have only ever had 2 mobile phones. I am not a big phone user and wouldn't have got another phone if my carrier hadn't upgraded their system and rendered my phone inoperable. Talk about finding ways to force people to upgrade!

2. Where was the last place you had sex?
On a quiet bush track in a nature reserve not far from where I live. I met a lady for "coffee" and we had to find somewhere to take each other for a "test drive". I promise I will tell you about this one day.

3. On a scale of 1-10, how satisfied are you with your love life? (1 is lowest, 10 is highest)
Probably 4. It's functional, but hardly thriving.

4. Does Bliss sound like a fun game to you? Have you ever played it?
I have never heard of Bliss before and had to follow the link to see what is was all about. It looks OK but I barely have time for this blog, let alone playing online computer games. I think I'll pass for now.

5. Is there anything or anyone you would be willing to die for?
My children, of course, although there are days when I could cheerfully kill them. I'm not sure that I would willingly die for them, but I would do anything, including sacrificing my own life, to ensure their safety and health.
Normally I would say that I would die for my football team, but this season they are doing a good enough job of killing me with their on-field performances. And that is all I want to say about football, for now.

Bonus (as in optional): If you were (or had) a magic genie and could only grant wishes for others and you only had three left, what would they be and who would they be for?
1. A long, happy and prosperous life for both of my kids.
2. An increased libido for Mrs A.
3. A World Series for the Chicago Cubs (100 years is too long to wait). If the genie wasn't strong enough to lift the curse from the Cubs then I would wish for success for Amorous Rocker's Stars. Last time I looked they were still alive in the NHL playoffs. Failing that, a heartbeat, or some sign of life at my football club. (Oops! Sorry, I wasn't going to mention football again)
