HNT #41 - The Gambler.

You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when you're sittin' at the table.
There'll be time enough for countin' when the dealin's done.

Now ev'ry gambler knows that the secret to survivin'
Is knowin' what to throw away and knowing what to keep.
cause ev'ry hands a winner and ev'ry hands a loser,

And the best that you can hope for is to die in your sleep.
- D. Schlitz (performed by Kenny Rogers)

(it's a click thru this week)

I have all but run out of ideas for HNT's based on song lyrics. I know there must be 100's of them that wouldn't be to hard to put together but I just seem to draw a blank at the moment. I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions that you might have.
Os has the full list of HNT participants for this week.

Wednesday Weirdness #41.

1. Is April 1st a fun day, or an annoyance?
I think it is good fun. I like trying to spot the pranks, and even though I know it is April 1, I still get fooled sometimes.

2. What is the best prank you ever pulled or had pulled on you?
I have told this story before but it is worthy of a retell.
The best April Fools joke that I was involved in took place many years ago. I used to work in the catering section of a large metropolitan hospital and just before the end of the month, one of the employees from our department contracted chicken pox. A few people couldn't remember if they had had it as a child and worried that they may become sick as well. Myself and another staff member concocted an April Fool. On the morning of April 1 a memo arrived with some specimen jars and asked that all staff collect a urine sample before 10am and then deliver it at lunch time to the Micro Biology Dept for screening for chicken pox. We, of course, had arranged for the bogus memo to be delivered with the jars. Everyone dutifully collected their sample and stored it until lunchtime where upon they took it for testing. The kind folk at Micro Biology tried to keep a straight face as they disposed of the samples and told people that they had been had and should check the date. It ran so smoothly and I still don't think anyone knows who set up the gag, but boy did we laugh about it afterwards. Talk about taking the piss...

3. What do you think is the most underrated sexual act?
I am not sure if it is classified as an act but I love missionary position and it hardly ever cracks a mention as a sexy position. I like the full body contact, being able to have eye contact, and both participant's hands being able to explore the other person. Also, men's nipples get overlooked at lot too. I have very sensitive nipples and love to have them licked and played with but so often they get bypassed in the rush to get to other areas.

4. What is your favorite website?
I don't really have a favourite website. I have a few blogs that I visit on a regular basis but that is about it.

5. What is the most annoying commercial on the air right now?
In general, I hate bank commercials. Usually they are telling us how wonderful they are and why we should bank with them, and yet just like every other bank they are dreaming up new ways to screw us with fees and charges, don't want to give us any customer service, and make it almost impossible to change to another institution. Actually, I'll rephrase my first sentence, I don't hate bank commercials, I just hate banks. And now I'll come down from my soap box.

6. If you were going to create a porn movie, please describe the title, premise and 1st sex scene.
I like women in uniforms, and women dressed smartly yet seductively, for work in an office so I am thinking that it might go along one of those lines. A voyeuristic, peeping tom scene might be the angle I would start with, where a young man (or woman) is spying on a woman (or women) getting dressed for work or undressed at the end of the day. They watch as the uniform or business suit is slowly removed and then they are suddenly discovered by the undresser and a sex scene begins. Further work colleagues could join in a later time as they arrive for their shift. I can't think of a particularly good title, maybe something like "Workin' It", or "Working for a Living". Alternately, it could depend on the uniform featured in the movie.

TMI Tuesday #63

1. Have you ever sent or received a sext message?
Neither sent or received one. I don't text very often.

2. Have you ever made or received a booty call?
Yes, I have made a phone call with the express purpose of obtaining sex, and yes, it worked out.

3. Have you ever added or edited a word/entry to Wikipedia or Urban Dictionary or any other online reference?
No I haven't.

4. At what age did you have your first consensual sexual experience?
I was around 17 or 18 years of age. It was with a girl I had met at a party and we went back to her place.

5. What has been the greatest age difference between you a consensual sexual partner?
About 4 years. I was the younger person in the relationship.

Bonus (as in optional): Why do you blog?
I started blogging as way of telling my story, and share the secrets that I normally have to keep to myself. However, over recent times I have become a bit lazy and these days I tend to just do these few memes each week along with a HNT if I can squeeze it in. If anyone was interested in hearing more of my adventures then perhaps I could be motivate to continue the tale.

HNT #40 - Helping Hand

Everybody needs a helping hand
Take a look at your fellow man
And tell me what can I do today
'Cause everybody needs a helping out
If that ain't what it's all about
Tell me what
What can I do
What can I do today
- B. Darnell, T. Sims, & A. Grant
(performed by Amy Grant)

Os has all the other HNT players for this week.

Apologies for the lack of a HNT last week. Doctor's appointments and subsequent examinations on a troublesome shoulder conspired to rob me of any spare time that I may have otherwise had. The shoulder issue hasn't been resolved yet but I am ever optimistic.

Wednesday Weirdness #40.

1.) What is your significant others worst habit?

Squeezing the toothpaste from the middle of the tube. Yeah, I know that on the scale of things it isn't the worst habit that a person could have, but I still find it annoying when I have to squeeze all the toothpaste up the tube just to get enough to clean my teeth.

2.) What piece of clothing that isn't lingerie or an undergarment do you have that you feel especially sexy/handsome in?
My 501 Levis with the button fly. I love wearing them, and with Winter just around the corner ( I hope) I will soon be able to wear them again. I also have a Hurley long sleeved top that I feel particularly good in and it goes so well with my Levis.

3.) If you could drink ONLY two beverages for the rest of your life, which would you pick?
Coffee as my first choice. I can't imagine not being able to drink a cup of coffee, and there are just so many ways to drink it and so many different types and flavours. My second drink would be Highland Park Scotch whiskey. I am not a big alcohol drinker but I do appreciate the occasional glass of this fine, single malt whiskey.

4.) What is your worst habit?
I pick and bite my nails. Particularly if I am bored, anxious or nervous.

5.) Are you superstitious in any way?
No I am not. I used to be as a kid but I have managed to convince myself that it is nothing more than silly folklore and that the odds of anything bad (or good) happening because of a certain event or set of circumstances are no greater or less than they would normally be. (touch wood).

6.) What kind of shopping do you hate doing most? (Grocery shopping, clothes shopping, shoe shopping, etc)
Shoe and clothes shopping. I only ever do them out of necessity and it always seems to take longer than I had planned. It is not something I derive a lot of pleasure from and so i don't put much time or effort into it.

7.) What was a “fad” you remember from your childhood?
Yo-yos. Rubik's cube. Collector cards in bubblegum packets. And we used to clip playing cards onto our bikes so that they made a noise in the wheel spokes and sounded like a motor bike (or at least they did to our young ears). We rode everywhere with those things pegged to our forks.

TMI Tuesday #62

1. Ever Googled a date, a potential date or an ex?
I do recall entering a few ex girlfriend's names into google, but I don't think it came back with much.

2. Do you gossip?
Generally, no. But there have been occasions when I have indulged in a good story about someone else.

3. How many people do you completely trust?
I don't think I completely trust anyone, and that includes myself.

4. Have you ever had sex in car?
Many a time. I used to meet a lady friend at lunchtime and it often used to result in sex in either her car or mine. They were some hot times.

5. What is your best flirting technique: innuendo, telling a dirty joke, talking about sex life, or physical contact?
Innuendo tends to be my flirt of choice. It is just something that I feel good with. Must be all those years of watching British comedy, well known for it's innuendo and double entendres.

Bonus (as in optional): How many times is the most you have ever had sex in a 24 hour period?
I think about four or five times when I was much younger than I am now. That was in a night, so probably just a 12 hour period. I would like to have 24 hours to devote to nothing but sex.

Wednesday Weirdness #39.

1.) In your opinion, what is your biggest character flaw?

I probably have 2. One is that I tend to trust people too much, although I am getting better in this regard. The other is that I always want to please people and try hard not to let anyone down or to disappoint people. This stems from a desire to have people like me or approve of me and probably has to do with my low self esteem. Don't get me started on that because that is a real can of worms.

2.) What do you think is one of the worst television shows ever created?
There is a lot of mainstream TV that I don't like so please don't get me started on this one either. Just about any reality show is boycotted by me, and I am sick to death of cooking shows and renovation/make-over shows. Most of it is just cheap filler because the networks can't be bothered to make real, quality drama.

3.) Have you ever ended up injured after trying an interesting new sex position?
I can't say that I have. Maybe that is because I am generally a fit person, or it could be because I haven't tried anything that pushes my physical boundaries.

4.) How crucial do you think communication is between you and a regular sexual partner? Do you talk often about what works, what doesn't, things you want to try, etc or do you keep the discussions to a minimal and let the physical flow as it may?
Generally I just go with the physical flow, but with one partner I had a year or so ago, we had a good rapport and used to discuss what worked and what didn't, etc.

5.) Who are your favorite comedic actors/actresses?
Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, Bill Murray (although he has gone more dramatic of late), Dan Ackroyd, John Belushi, Mike Myers, Tina Fey. How bad is that, I can only think of one female. Someone enlighten me, please!

6.) In what way(s) do you wish your childhood was different?
My father was sick for most of my childhood and died at the end of my teenage years. If I could I would like to have my childhood again with my father healthy so we could do simple things like kicking a ball to each other, going fishing, and all those other things that boys are supposed to do with their Dads. I'm not complaining because at least I had both parents and I wasn't abused, but a healthy Dad would have been a lot of fun.

7.) Cotton Candy; Delicious treat or disgusting mess?
Definitely a delicious treat, although in the hands of young children it can become a disgusting mess.
