Welcome to this week's TMI. If you want to know what TMI is all about, or meet the other players then just click HERE.
I have updated my list of favourite blogs in the sidebar. I hope I haven't forgotten anyone, but if I have please let me know, or if you want to be listed there then drop me a line or leave a comment.
1. How many credit cards do you own? Are they paid off?
Between Mrs A. and myself, we only have 1 credit card. It isn't paid off, but there isn't a huge amount on it either. Mostly we use debit cards and only use the credit card in an emergency.
2. Can you be in love with someone you don't trust?
I think you can be in love with anyone, but not necessarily trust them. Trust, along with other attributes like respect and compassion become important if you want to form a relationship with a person. Love is separate from these things and you can love someone with out trusting them, just as you can love someone without having a relationship with them.
3. Should prostitution be legal?
Absolutely. Prostitution will always exist, so it might as well be legitimate so it can be better policed. If it were legal then there could be mandatory health checks for sex workers, and measures could be taken to stamp out sexual slavery and underage practices. While it is illegal it is difficult to control and criminal elements are naturally attracted to it.
4. On a scale of 1-10, how good of a lover do you think you are? (1 is lowest, 10 is highest)
Without sounding big headed, I think I am a fairly good lover. I would rate myself an 8. I have left myself a little room for improvement as I am sure there are things I could do better. I think it also depends on the partner. It is easier to be a good lover when you are with someone who knows what they are doing as well.
5. What are three mistakes someone could make on the first date with you that would automatically make you turn down a second date with them?
*Poor personal hygiene, as in bad breath or body odour.
*Smoking. Maybe it is because I am an ex smoker, but I find this a real turn off.
*Continual talking on their mobile phone. I mean, who is more important, me or whoever is on the other end? It is OUR date after all.
Bonus (as in optional): Tell us about your worst date ever.
My worst date of recent times was agreeing to meet a lady for coffee after we had been emailing for some time. I arrived at the designated coffee shop, and couldn't see anyone who looked like the person I had been talking to so I grabbed a quiet table and waited. I checked the coffee shop several times in case I had missed her, and I had no calls or messages on my phone. After half an hour I called her and got no reply. I waited another half hour before deciding to leave. When I finally did get hold of her, a day or so later, she told me that something had come up and she wasn't able to make it. Was it too much to expect a call or text message. Anyway, our contact dwindled off after that so I can only assume that she wasn't interested. Her loss.

Oh, *good* answers. I didn't even think about the hygiene thing (ick) or the mobile phone thing (Ugh!) but both are true for me as well. Yuck.
Happy TMI!
Me too on #1. And I completely agree w/ U on #2.
Liked your #4 & #5 answers. Your bonus is just soooooooo messed up. She is, I mean. That's just wrong. No excuse. You're right. Her loss.
Happy TMI 2 U ; )
Great answers!
On the Bonus, I have had that happen too! I hate that. It really doesn't take long to call or text and let someone know if something important came up. I HATE being stood up.
Happy Tuesday!
You're not a smoker, another tick for you :)
Another "coffee" date hey lol. I hate being kept waiting, it doesnt take much to let someone know if you are running late or if you cant make it. That is a deal breaker for me too.
Happy TMI!
Ms SD
Aghh i forgot the smokers so gross ;o/
the worst date wasn't a date lol that sucks I can't stand when someone can't take the time to tell you they are going to be late or not make it at all, what does a text take ?
I totally forgot about the cell phone shit on a date. I hate that too! So disrespectful.
Great answers.
I agree about the cell phone. That is horribly rude but I have to admit to having done it w/ my husband just because he doesn't have anything to say and if a friend calls and we're together I will talk for a few minutes. LOL
That was rude the woman didn't even call to let you know she couldn't make it. My negative side would worry that the person *did* show and saw me and left. I hope that wasn't the case. :P
Ms Inconspicuous- Good personal hygiene is a must, and the mobile phone is just rude.
I Smile 2 Much- Seems as though we think alike :)
AR- I don't think anyone likes being stood up.
Ms SD- This date was just for coffee, although come to think of it, so was the last one but we got a bit carried away.
Samantha- I hadn't thought about that. I guess it wasn't really a date after all. perhaps a 'non date' would be a better term?
Renee- mobile phones really annoy me. I'm not a big fan of them.
fairyflutters- We had exchanged pictures so I am assuming that she approved of me. I didn't see her there, but maybe she did appear and then leave. Now you have me wondering..
Very nice answers!
Congrats on being an ex-smoker too! I will be too one day... lol
Bonus - that sucks! One of my worst dating fears has always been being stood up. Hasn't happened yet, but I still get nervous that it will. Hope it never happens to you again!
Happy TMI!
CL- I can't imagine that you would ever be stood up. Who wouldn't want to meet you? ;)
